Having been responsible for developing Blade Motorcycles Ltd from 2008 - 2019 and with over 20 years’ experience in the industry, there’s nothing else that I would rather do than dedicate myself to running and developing Motorcycles UK - this fantastic opportunity has been a dream for a long time now!
I started riding motorcycles at the age of 14 with my first bike being a Puch Maxi. It took a real battering over the fields in Highworth during the school holidays! At the age of 16, I couldn’t wait to get out on the road on my Yamaha RD50. After a mishap that saw the RD written off, I quickly progressed to a Yamaha FS1E ‘’Fizzy’ that I fitted with the obligatory 60cc big bore kit that gave 56mph while laid flat out on the fuel tank. Then firmly bitten by the motorcycle bug I progressed on to a Yamaha RXS100, followed by a Yamaha RD350-LC. Then at the ripe old age of 20 a big leap on to a Kawasaki GPZ1000-RX, the fastest production bike of the time! Since that day I have always had a bike in my garage and most recently it’s another 1986 Kawasaki GPZ1000-RX that I must admit needed more restoration work doing than I bargained for! But I still get a great thrill from riding at any opportunity.
